Sara France is a badass. There…I said it. The wedding photographer of wedding photographers. Her weddings are featured on Apple Computers in the Apple Store. She’s flown all over the world for huge companies like United Airlines. She travels around the world and shoots, speaks, and inspires entrepreneurs and photographers from all over the world with photography and Apple Aperture tips & training. She’s a super tech-nerd, has a fantastic smile, and is a blast to be around. She’s a queen of delegating and outsourcing, lives an amazing life with her dog Bodie, and completely lives the Solopreneur lifestyle.
In this show, we truly embody the “coffee shop” vibe. We had a great conversation, and dug into customer service, being thoughtful to your employees and clients, outsourcing and delegating, dealing with tough clients (Bridezilla’s anyone?) a great tradition her grandma started, over delivering, a literal slew of apps and websites (Have you gotten your FREE resources for every solopreneur download yet?), and had a bunch of laughs along the way.
Here’s Sara’s formula for delegating:
A. can I do it myself?
B. should I do it myself?
C. is it more than $50/hr

“When you find your swing its easy, and everything is preparing for you now.” quote – Michael O’Neal 18th October 2013
That is so true. I am finding at the moment that the more effort I put into my new life, the more I see no returns at all for week after week. But I keep on trying things out. And then suddenly I get one or two amazing things come out of the wordwork that shoot me forward three steps. This is what solopreneurs are all about. The ability to stick to your guns, and keep on shooting until you hit something.
I loved the quote when I heard it David.
Just got my Strengths Finder 2.0 and planning on completing it this weekend.
“You get what you give!” is one of the motto’s of my daily life. Keep climbing those stairs won’t be long before your at the top!!!
Hi Dwain, I did Strengths Finder a little while ago and honestly it didn’t tell me anything I didn’t already know, but it certainly tells it better. It really breaks down my talents to action points, and it generally excites me everytime I look at it. Its like “YESSSSSS, I know what I want in life and its what I am good at too” Full steam ahead. And the funny thing is the more excited I feel about something the more progress I seem to make. I remember reading some book or other awhile ago (forget which one), but it stated “If you wake up in the morning with dread then you’re on the wrong path..simple as that. Excitement is the compass to achieving everything in life”. It might have been “The Secret” actually, which in the words of Michael O’Neal is a bit Woo Woo. I liked it though.
I agree on it being a little Woo Woo but when have you seen a negative person that was successful. You can have all the money in the world but true success is being happy with what you’re doing.
I have not watched “The Secret” in years but remember many key points. Think negative and you will only see negative think positive and you will only see positive.
I had a rough start to the year and let tons of negative things come into my life and have seen the results. Now I am on a positive ride and keep finding positive things everywhere.
Let’s see if we can set something up next week and just chat about life and ideas.
This was yet again another episode that I thought I wouldn’t like due to the guest but ended up loving. Each guest seems to hit home runs.
Michael, you and Sara should do a effective tools podcast. Have guess that all you talk about is the tools you use to make you effective. I would listen to that. I would want to be a guest!
