29: How to get 100,000 Facebook Likes with Bret Gregory

about-bretNormally I like to let the nuggets of wisdom naturally flow from a conversation, but when someone's Facebook page has over 250,000 likes, I need to ask how they did it. You’ve got to listen to this show to find out how!

Bret and I have some of our history in common: A family tragedy put us onto the entrepreneurial path.  After his brother died of cancer, Bret purchased over 140 acres of land in Costa Rica to build a health and wellness retreat.

In the process of financing that retreat, Bret would discover a few Facebook techniques that would allow him to reach THOUSANDS of people in a short period of time. He decided to start teaching those techniques and the rest, as they say, is history.

In this show, you’ll learn:

  • How many waterfalls you can have on your property before it’s “too many”
  • How to use a Photo Album Stack on Facebook to get thousands of likes
  • The best way to use a “like” button on your website

Links...soon.

The facebook idea is obviously a great idea, as Michael got really excited. But I got lost in the process of it all. A few weeks into the Ninja course is not enough to really grasp this all………any chance of a solohour with Mr O’Neal to go through this again step by step????

Hey David, I have a full step by step course called Attract Customers Now From Facebook that teaches you exactly how to get 10,000 new likes in 30 days, AND turn those likes into sales. Just go to http://www.attractcustomersnow.com for the free training. If you like it the course is still only $97 (not for long though) Thanks!

Never even imagined you could build an audience using something like photo albums. Photo stacking sounds like a great way to build a base for business.

I love the part talking about I only need 7 people and Facebook has 600,000,000. Shows how focusing on getting to the right people will help grow not only your fan base/Customers now but in the future.

Another Great show, Great Guest, Great Learning…. Keep Crushing it Michael!!!!

Hey Dwain, thanks for your comments, yeah, the photo album stack is amazingly powerful. Also it goes to show when you keep your focus on getting customers you can filter them out of a broad audience. Lots of people get really hung up on only wanting customers as fans. Well, if we did that we only would have had 7 fans…and likely no customers. So keep an open mind and build your page with awesome photos that your customers will love to share. I have a more detailed free training at http://www.attractcustomersnow.com, just fill out your name and e-mail and you’ll see in detail how we grew our page to 200,000 likes and drove targeted traffic that resulted in $1.5 million in sales. Thanks!

Michael, the Solopreneur Hour is always informative and a fantastic source for insights into the solopreneur lifestyle & work life . Howevaaaa, episode 29 featuring Bret Gregory was TOTALLY AWESOME! Bret’s personal story is inspiring and his quest to bring sane-rational-wellness to humanity is without question righteous and honorable. I’m personally incorporating the Facebook tips Bret outlined immediately into my mediapreneur businesses.

Michael, thank you for leading the way by introducing us to great guest. More over, thank you for conducting the interviews in a way that brings us in as the trusted confidantes of your co-host. Nothing seems scripted, yet you’re able to stay on task and drill down to the core of what we need to come away with… actionable steps to create massive value for our customers and clients. In a word, BRAVO!

    Thanks – Jey (FB/thePracticalStartUp)

Awesome show! I just finished putting all of my coffee business photos into one album to get my photo stack started. Bret, you have pointed me in a good direction with this interview. Michael, keep the awesome interviews coming!

    • Bret Gregory November 7, 2013 at 12:23 am #

Thanks Brian, Make sure to “Boost post” on your photo stack to get lots of likes coming quickly on your page. Start with spending $10 on the post. Then do that a few times per week until you get to over 1,000 likes on the post. Then the next times you post 9 photos the album likes are more likely to grow quickly on their own.
