We focus so much energy around making more money, when it’s really the time freedom that we seek. Tune into this (abridged) episode to learn how important time freedom can be in your life, and how it should be your primary focus.
Hi Michael, ill be honest with you I haven’t listened to Solo Hour or in fact any podcast for ages and ages. I suppose when you are as involved in the business as I am now, the last thing you want to do is have more of the same. But I was glad that i listened to my old friend Mr O’Neal. This was 100% real, and totally refreshing to hear a podcaster not play their A game. Not play the presenter role which we all do to make our shows sparkle. This is the kind of show that made the Solo Hour Great as it was from the heart. You could hear that in every word you spoke. Its interesting how building a business might seem a linear path from the outside but when you are in the midst, you are more often than not surrounded by pieces of the puzzle, that you pick up, squint at and then put down again as it doesn’t quite fit. Of course its a perfect piece for your brand, as its something that empasses your knowledge, history and personality but its not quite right at that time. And so you struggle. That is what I got from this show. Look for the positives within the battle of construction. Look for the wins (in this case time freedom) when we can be focused on the money situation. Look for the pieces that we can use now, and not the final end game that we are striving for. I 100% appreciate this piece of audio realism and it made me assess where I am myself and what is important to me. And the money is certainly nowhere near the ability to go for a walk through the English countryside on a Monday morning when everyone else is at work. Or go to a empty cinema to watch the latest blockbuster without queues and the constant sound of people eating around me. Here’s to time freedom and the greatest gift that anyone of us can hope to have in our lives….control….cheers Michael and hope to speak again soon.
