Proudly Unemployable - The Solopreneur Hour Podcast with Michael O'Neal

618: Talking Social Media with Brian Fanzo

On this epic episode (Almost 2 hours!) of The Solopreneur Hour, online influencer, fellow Steelers fan, and all around good egg Brian Fanzo and I catch up and talk all things social media, then get into the meat and potatoes of the show:

It’s Fantasy Football season for those afflicted, nerdy souls, where we yell at the TV to cheer on players that aren’t even on the team we root for. But…we wouldn’t have it any other way!

There is, however, a twist to this ultimate fantasy draft.

In this case, we are drafting the top internet marketers in the world.

We’ll share who we’d pick for which position, and also provide a few alternates. This is a long show that’s well worth the content.

(note:  I've split out the fantasy draft into it's own episode here )

Michael O'Neal and Brian Fanzo pick the best:

Video Marketer
Social Media Marketer
Community Marketer
Emailing List Curator
Web Presence / SEO
Live Speaker
Lead Generator/Funnels

Hi Michael, another great episode. Thanks for everything that you do!

I loved the concept of the social media draft dream team. I agreed with all your suggestions, with the exception of Pat Flynn for Web presence/SEO.

Pat is amazing at what he does and I agree that his website is very customer focused and is a great example of everything that is right. In fact I used Pat’s website as an example of a great website that I liked, in conversations with my web company, when I had my own website re-designed last year.

But whilst I think the site is great, I suspect that Pat was not involved in his own SEO, from a technical stand-point, because I don’t think that is his wheel-house. His web company will be advising him on this, but in terms of your dream team fantasy draft, that’s why I would not have chosen Pat for this category.

I think someone like Neil Patel (who you mentioned at the end of the show) or Brian Dean of Backlinko, would be who I would have chosen for that category.

Anyway, it’s all subjective I know, and I am sure that there are plenty of people who would disagree with my selection, but I just loved this concept, so thought I’d throw my tuppence-worth out there, in the hope that it might start a bit of debate around this topic.

    Keep up the good work!
